What is the difference between Bicycle Sharing and Rental Bicycle?
A.
Bicycle Sharing is a self-service bike sharing system that provides services from member registration through the website to return bikes.
You can only pay by credit card.
Rental Bicycle is a human-powered rental service that allows one to make a reservation on the website or by phone or by visiting a shop to enter into an agreement.
You can pay by credit card or cash.

What should I do rent a bicycle?
A.
A: [Bicycle Sharing] After making a reservation with Bicycle Sharing on the Reservation screen of our homepage, enter the 5-digit PIN Code shown in the Reservation & in Use tab to unlock the key.

How to rent a bicycle?
A.

Q.
What should I bring to rent a bicycle?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Membership registration on our homepage and credit card are required.
And we also recommend you to bring a smartphone on the day of use.
[Rental Bicycle]Please bring your license, passport, etc. that can be used to confirm your current address and your photo ID. If you are a foreigner, please don't forget to bring your passport when you go to the shop in charge of management.
Q.
Which bicycle should I choose among the vehicles at the port?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] You can use any bicycle you like. However, if you hear a long Beeping sound even after you enter the 5-digit Unlock Code, it is possible that another member is using the bicycle, so please try another bicycle.
[Rental Bicycle] We will guide you to the bicycle when you make a contract.
Q.
I want to depart from the port, but the key remains locked even if I entered the 5-digit Unlock Code.
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Press ON button for about 1 second, enter the 5-digit Unlock Code, and press the OPEN button. It beeps if you enter a wrong unlock code or another member is using the bicycle,
so please re-enter the unlock code after the light turns off or try another bicycle.
*Please note that it takes about 1 minute to unlock the key at the port.
Q.
What should I do to lock the key during my using period?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Please lower the key lever to lock. Please note that the use will be complete if you press the Finish button on the website.
[Rental Bicycle] Please lock the bicycle with the key we gave to you at the time of rental.
Q.
Can I cancel my reservation?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] You can cancel on the website up to 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
After that, please contact the call center.
[Rental Bicycle] Please contact the shop in charge of management.
In addition, if you didn't actually use the bicycle within 60 minutes after your reservation, the reservation will be cancelled automatically.

Where can I check the positions of the ports (bicycle parking lots)?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] You can check the map by tapping the orange arrow next to the name of the port with our homepage or the application.
[Rental Bicycle]  You can check the positions of the ports (bicycle parking lots) on our homepage.
Q.
What should I do to extend the rental period during my using period?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Tap the Extension button on the Reservation & in Use screen on the website, and select how long you want to extend for.
When the message “Extended” appears, the extension is completed.
[Rental Bicycle] Please contact the shop. Please note that it is not available outside of business hours.
The extension fee shall be paid at the time of return.
Q.
How to return the bicycle?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Please return the bicycle to the departure port (bicycle parking lot), lock the key and press the Finish button on the application.
[Rental Bicycle] Please return the bicycle to the pick-up port (bicycle parking lot), and bring the bicycle key and the copy of your contract to the shop in charge of management.
Q.
Can I return the bicycle to other ports?
A.
[Common] You cannot return a bicycle to other ports other than the port (bicycle parking lot) you departed from. (Even if you go to other ports, the return procedure cannot be performed)
Q.
Can I return the bicycle outside of business hours?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] It is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
[Rental Bicycle] We are very sorry but you can't return the bicycle outside of business hours, please return it within the business hours the next day.
In addition, other customers may make a reservation the next day, please make sure to contact the shop in charge of the management to extend.

Bicycles and Accessories

Q.
What's the difference between Normal Bicycle and Sports Bicycle?
A.
[Common] Normal Bicycle is PAS With 26 type three speed regular bicycle made by Yamaha. Sports Bicycle is PAS Brace 26 type sports bicycle made by Yamaha.
*Both these two bicycles are electric-assisted.
Q.
Are there any restrictions on age or height when using a bicycle?
A.
[Common] There's no restrictions on age, but a user shall be at least 145cm tall to rent a Normal Bicycle, and at least 155cm to rent a Sports Bicycle. The saddle can be adjusted to suit the user's height.
Q.
Are there any bicycles for kids?
A.
[Common]We are very sorry but we don't have any bicycles for kids.
A user shall be at least 145cm tall to rent a Normal Bicycle, and at least 155cm to rent a Sports Bicycle.
Q.
Is there a child seat mounted on the bicycle?
A.
[Common]We are very sorry but there's no child seat mounted on the bicycle.
Q.
Can I rent a helmet?
A.
You can rent a helmet at any shop in charge of the management of the port, and the rental fee is 550 yen (only one helmet can be rent for each contract).
Reservation is not provided for helmet, but it can be rented if there are spare ones on that day. Please consult the shop in advance.
Q.
What if the battery of the electric-assisted bicycle runs out of charge?
A.
You can continue to ride the bicycle if it is a regular bicycle with no electric power assisted.
If the battery runs out of charge, please go to the shop that you rent bicycle to replace the battery.
However, there may be no spare batteries at that time, please contact us in advance to confirm.

Other Troubles and Accidents

Q.
What should I do if the bicycle is stolen?
A.
[Bicycle Sharing] Please contact Accident Report Center of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and Chikachari Call Center, and report the theft to the police station.
Please note that actual costs may be charged in some cases.
[Rental Bicycle]Please contact the shop in charge of the management of the port, and report the burglary to the police station at the same time.
In addition, please note that there may be actual expenses according to different circumstances."
Q.
What should I do if I have an accident?
A.
[Common]As for accidents occur during the using period, the casualty insurance applies to all customers, but we shall assume no responsibility beyond the scope of the insurance. ※ The insurance premium is included in the usage fees. If a customer encounters an accident during the using period, he or she should immediately get help for anyone injured, and contact the police, the insurance company and the shop(only for Rental Bicycle) in charge of the management of the port.
If it is necessary to negotiate about the accident, the customer shall resolve the accident on his or her own responsibility. In addition, regardless of the stated contents, including the case in which we compensated the third party for damages for which we are not liable, we will claim compensation from the said customer if it causes damage to us.
Q.
What should I do if I get a flat tire?
A.
[Common] Please contact Chikachari call center and the shop.
Q.
What if the bicycle is removed after I temporarily park it during the using period?
A.
[Common] If you park the bicycle in a place where parking is prohibited and the bicycle is removed, you will be charged 10,000 yen.
